About The Business
River Valley Insulation started in 2021 under the name Grady Clarke Contracting. We are a family owned business founded by two Sundre locals who wanted to bring quality insulation work back to the small towns and rural properties they call home.
We believe homeowners deserve more than a quick install. We take the time to explain what your home needs and why, because proper insulation affects everything from your comfort in January to your monthly energy costs. When the job is done, we clean up before we leave.
We are proud to serve Sundre, Olds, Didsbury, Carstairs, Airdrie, Water Valley, Caroline, Rocky Mountain House and the rural communities in between. Supporting our neighbours and the local building trades is a big part of why we do this work.
Meet The Team
Grady Clarke
Head of Operations
Grady grew up in Sundre, spent some time away in the big city of Vancouver, acquired a Red Seal for training in Carpentry and returned with a wife and family to the small town he knows with a drive to start providing a service for the residents of Sundre and beyond. When he’s not swimming through attic insulation in oven-like conditions, he can be found playing pickleball, at the park with his family or hauling another plant into his home that his wife found.
Brett Surbey
Corporate Director
Brett is a full-time corporate paralegal living in Alberta with his wife and their two kids. He assists attorneys with complex tax restructuring programs and has a passion for seeing small businesses succeed and serve their clients the best they can. His role in River Valley Insulation is as an advisory and marketer, coming up with ideas on reaching new clients and improving their services.
